The work, tracked where the work lives.
Checklist puts repeatable process tracking directly on any Salesforce® record — no side spreadsheet, no separate app, no forcing every answer into a field that doesn't exist yet.

1
Do I need a developer to set this up?
No — checklists, question types, and triggered actions are all built in a UI. If you can build a report, you can build a Checklist.
2
How is this different from Salesforce Tasks?
Tasks track one to-do at a time. Checklist captures structured questions and answers — with each answer able to trigger its own task, comment, or attachment — so you get both the data and the follow-up action in one place.
3
Can community users see and complete items?
Yes — Checklist works the same for internal and community (external) users, governed by the same Salesforce® security model you already have. People only see what they're authorized to see, exactly like every other part of your org.
4
Do I have to map every question to a Salesforce field?
No. Map only what you want to report on — everything else stays flexible, with no field required.
What it Does
Nine ways to ask a question
Text, number, text area, segment, checkbox, multiselect checkboxes, picklist, switch, date picker — whatever shape the answer needs, Checklist has it.
As easy as sending an email
No forced top-to-bottom flow. Skip ahead, come back, answer what's in front of you — your team decides the order, not the form.
On any record
Accounts, opportunities, cases, custom objects — if it's a Salesforce record, it can carry a checklist.
And when you want it in a report, it's ready.
Any question can be mapped directly onto the Salesforce record it's tied to — turning that answer into a real, reportable field, right alongside everything else on the record.
Every answer can trigger something
Attach a task, a comment, or a required attachment to any question — so an answer doesn't just get recorded, it can set the next step in motion.
Capture a signature, right on the spot
Need sign-off on a completed checklist? Capture a scribble signature directly in the app — a simple, visual confirmation, not a legal e-signature platform.
Every checklist becomes a record — and sometimes, a document.
A manufacturing customer uses Checklist to walk an inspector through an assembly line: is the wiring harness attached? Are the engine mounts secure? Each question can require a photo the moment the answer is yes. By the time the item's built, its entire inspection history is sitting on the record — output as a clean PDF, ready to serve as QA documentation for that specific unit.
An apartment management company uses it for move-in/move-out inspections: Is the kitchen counter damaged? Yes triggers a repair task. What's the condition of the living room blinds — in good order, needs repair, needs replacement? Each answer routes to a different team automatically: maintenance for a repair, office staff for a purchase.
That's possible because Checklist doesn't ask you to define a Salesforce field for every question in advance. Every scenario can capture something different — no field required, no limit on how many questions you ask.
