IOLITE Solution(s): Checklist
Challenge
Operations was looking for a way to rapidly and consistently evaluate new client inbound phone calls. They sought to qualify new customer calls as acceptable cases that could be successfully litigated – all without their attorneys answering the inbound phone calls.

Solution
Develop a checklist of questions that a paralegal or legal secretary could review with potential clients to determine if the legal case could be taken on by the firm and successfully litigated.  Checklists were customized to the type of case being presented.
Outcome
Attorneys were freed up to work on the cases that were already approved, allowing non-attorneys to qualify the leads using the questionnaire provided for each type of case. This resulted in significant improvement in case workload and higher revenue.

Background

An attorney that operates offices in three states (AL, TN, GA). The practice consists of multiple legal practice areas including divorce, accident, insurance, social security, disability, personal injury, wrongful death, bankruptcy and others.

Engagement

This attorney has rapid growing operations across the three state territory. Over time they realized their process of identifying optimal cases was inconsistent. The firm operations was looking for a way to rapidly and consistently evaluate the inbound calls from new clients. They sought to ensure that customers had a case that could be accepted and litigated successfully – all without their attorneys screening the initial call.

Results

By engaging IOLITE, the firm identified a flow of questions to help paralegals and legal secretaries quickly screen, identify, and secure new cases.
Attorneys were freed up from reviewing all the inquiries and only had to work on approved cases. Legal staff qualified the leads using Checklist provided for each type of case. This resulted in significant improvement in case completion and higher revenue.
